For the next meetup I’m looking at the weekend of July 13/14 or 20/21. Thinking of watching some more sherlock holmes adaptations that we haven’t seen yet. Any date work better than another for people?
Location to be determined.

People of the internet!
This is a reminder that there is a Sherlock meetup this Saturday, May 25 in the Arb in Ann Arbor.
We will meet at the entrance to the arboretum on Geddes (Map here) at 3pm. At 3:15 or so we will make our way down to the bottom of the hill in the park. This meetup will be largely unstructured. There will be time to get to know each other, talk about Sherlock or other fandom things, eat food and take pictures.
This meetup will go until 6pm. If you arrive late, just make your way to the bottom of the hill in the park and look for the flag of our people or the loud group of people.
Please bring: Food to share & a blanket to sit on if you want it. If you want to bring games to play that’s be great. I will bring plates and utensils for the food and maybe some tables to set up the food on.
You can RSVP for this event at the event page in our facebook group.
Cosplaying is welcome. Non fandom specific cosplay is welcome.
If you have any questions send me an ask or a message on facebook.
Be there.
I haven’t thought about it yet. If you have suggestions for dates or things we should do, I’m open to them.
All that interesting text and stuff about it here.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a meetup in Ann Arbor, so let’s do it again!
We are going to be having a picnic in the Arboretum (arb). We will meet at the entrance to the arboretum on Geddes (Map here) at 3pm. At 3:15 or so we will make our way down to the bottom of the hill in the park. This meetup will be largely unstructured. I’m looking at weekend dates in May for our next meetup.
It’s going to be a picnic in Ann Arbor. Are there days/weekends that I should avoid (cons and things like that). Let me know so I can pick a date.
Edit: the weekend of the 17-19th of May is out. Any other objections?
We’re discussing a study in scarlet vs. a study in pink.
All the details HERE
We will be getting together to watch “A Study in Pink” and compare it to the original story “A Study in Scarlet.”
In preperation for this meetup, please do read (or reread) the story so that we can have a discussion about it.
You are welcome to bring food or drink to share.
This meetup will be at my house in West Bloomfield. The address can be found on the event page in our facebook group. As soon as it’s warm we’ll do one in Ann Arbor again (probably in April).
If your parents need to talk to me to make sure I don’t eat babies or that I won’t feed you alcohol, please send me a message and we’ll work it out.
We will be watching a Study in Pink and discussing the adaptation from the original story “A Study in Scarlet.” Please come prepared to discuss the text in addition to our normal ridiculous fun stuff.
Location yet to be determined (shoot me a message if you have a place we can hold this).
The next meetup is either going to be on Saturday February 16 or Sunday February 17.
Please respond to this post, shoot me an ask, or answer the question on facebook to let me know which is going to work better for you. I will be deciding Sunday the 20th, so please let me know before then.
The location is yet to be determined. We may be near Ann Arbor, or we may be in West Bloomfield. If you have a preference or a location to suggest, let me know.
For this meetup we are reading “A study in Scarlet” and comparing it to the Sherlock episode. Please read the text (which can be found here for free) so that we can actually have a discussion.
I look forward to seeing you all again.
Hello peoples! In case anyone needs/wants it and if you don’t already have a copy of A Study in Scarlet, you can download a free version of the Complete Sherlock Holmes on Amazon for Kindle. There’s also a free download Kindle for PC version if you don’t have a Kindle. Here’s a link! :)
Alright, I’m not sure what day it’s going to be yet, but I had an idea for what we could do.
I was hoping that we could read “A Study in Scarlet” and discuss the story in relation to the episode, maybe watching the episode at the meetup.
The story is about a hundred pages long, so I figured letting people know now, even though I don’t have the date or location (probably ann arbor?) would give people the chance to get started reading.
Thoughts?
Look for info about the next meetup after the new year.
It will probably be in February. We hope to see you then!
Thank you to the 29 of you who came out for our ugly sweater/sharing/secret sherlock meetup!

We watched Scandal in Belgravia, the first episode of Miranda, an episode of Parks and Rec, an episode of Reaper, some youtube videos by PronunciationManual, and the first two episodes of the Lizzie Bennett Diaries. We also heard the short story “The Adventure of the Two Collaborators”, and talked about the Kid Loki comic Journey into Mystery.
As always, please follow 221bmichigan track #misherlockmeetup and join us on facebook. Please also post your pictures from the meetup and tag them so we can find them.
Urls under the cut to follow new friends.
